Who would have ever thought a balloon could be so exciting for a toddler. Whether it be at a party or at the shops – my toddler always wants to take a balloon home (you just hope that the balloon won’t pop in the car on the way home).

This week we have been stuck inside the house due to so much rain so I have been trying to think of things to┬ákeep my boys entertained. We had a balloon floating around the house from a party we had attended on the weekend and Elijah began playing with it hitting it in the air with his hands. I then joined in. It was actually a lot of fun and it was great to watch Elijah’s really enjoying himself. Even my youngest found it hilarious and we got Alvin to join in when he got home from work.

I love that it was a simple yet fun thing to do together & I will definitely keep this one in mind again for another rainy day. It’s even fun to draw faces on them. Just thought it was worth sharing – because it is cheap, enjoyable and gets the kids moving and off the couch.

Encouragement of the week:

Buy a bag of balloons for a rainy day.

Have the best weekend! Love Melly
