One of our children are quite sensitive to sugar and can get very fidgety and hypo quite quickly so we have been teaching him the value of eating foods that strengthen us and help us make good choices. In saying this we love being able to have a splurge or a special treat every now and again and we cannot say no to BIRTHDAY party fun. However hopefully by chatting to our children before hand about what foods might be there and which ones can make us do silly things can help. I have now just started feeding our kids some food before hand which does make them feel full and they are less likely to stand at the food table the whole time which is usually where my kids live!
